About OG Kush
Two accounts compete over what actually went into it. One puts a Dutch Hindu Kush with Emerald Triangle stock out of northern California, the other says Chemdawg crossed to a Hindu Kush landrace. Either way it surfaced in Florida in the early 90s and became the yardstick half the American market still measures itself against. It is not a forgiving grow. It wants stable, balanced conditions and it picks up mould, mildew and bugs faster than the hardy old classics do. It also reeks, further than you would believe outdoors, so sort the carbon filter before you germinate anything. Nine weeks or so of bloom, dense buds on an indica frame, and a harsh, spicy, earthy smoke that makes people cough.
