About Alaskan Thunderfuck
Matanuska Valley in Alaska, where the story goes that someone put a Northern California sativa over Russian ruderalis and later worked Afghani in to toughen it against the cold. Whether that is exactly how it happened is anyone's guess, but the plant behaves like it is true. By the seventies it was a valley secret turned cult item, it went quiet through the mid eighties crackdown, and clones are said to have carried the original line through. It leans sativa, roughly 60 to 40, and the effect is the daytime sort, clear and lifted rather than heavy. Growing it is a middling job. It stretches hard, eats more than most, and wants topping or light training early plus stakes under the colas later. Cool outdoor climates suit it. Eight to nine weeks in flower.
