About Acapulco Gold
Mexican landrace out of Acapulco, and for a while in the sixties it stood in for the whole idea of good weed in the States. The name came off the buds themselves, gold nugget colouring on a lanky, thin fingered sativa. It faded out when the market moved indoors and chased hybrids, and it has crept back in the last few years. Growing it is about as forgiving as a pure sativa gets. It wants heat, humidity and plenty of sun, copes with air moisture as high as 85%, and sulks in anything cold or dry. Go light on the feed, because it burns easily, and think about a greenhouse if your summers are not muggy. Indoors it stays under four feet, outdoors it can reach seven. A screen lifts the harvest if you have the room.
