Location Data: Approximate geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) when you grant permission, used solely to retrieve local weather and environmental data from third-party weather APIs.
Usage Data: Interaction data including pages visited, features used, game progress, session duration, and device information collected through Google Analytics.
Transaction Data: Purchase history related to subscription upgrades and in-app transactions, processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including personalized plant-care recommendations.
Retrieve and display local weather and environmental conditions relevant to your garden.
Process subscriptions, transactions, and account management.
Improve and optimize the Service through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account data and plant tracking data are stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), operated by Google LLC. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication protocols, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Certain data, including game progress and application preferences, may also be stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This data remains on your device unless you choose to sync it to a cloud account.

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase: Authentication, database, and cloud storage.
Google Analytics (GA4): Anonymized usage analytics and event tracking.
Open-Meteo: Weather forecast data retrieval (no personal data transmitted beyond coordinates).
OpenPlantbook: Botanical species data and care parameters.
Payment Processors: Subscription and transaction processing (details handled entirely by the processor).

6. Location Data

We request location access solely to provide weather-integrated plant care recommendations. Location data is not stored on our servers. It is transmitted directly from your browser to the Open-Meteo weather API to retrieve forecasts. You may deny or revoke location permissions at any time through your browser settings without losing access to core Service functionality.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store application state, user preferences, and session data. We do not use traditional tracking cookies. Google Analytics may set its own cookies in accordance with Google's privacy practices.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

With service providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g., Firebase, analytics providers), under confidentiality obligations.
When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
To protect the rights, property, or safety of SWS, our users, or the public.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account and plant-tracking data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical and product improvement purposes.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Request deletion of your personal information.
Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.
